Freedom of expression and censorship in Cuba
CADAL organized at Torcuato Di Tella University a round table with referents of independent culture, human rights activism and academia.
The activity analyzed the persecution of artists in Cuba, including the personal testimonies of filmmaker Ricardo Figueredo and musician Noslen Porrúa, the context of repression of freedom of expression by Alain Espinosa, lawyer of Cubalex, and the role of the military addressed by Rut Diamint, professor UTDT. The meeting was moderated by Gabriel Salvia, General Director of CADAL.
During his speech, the musician Noslen Porrúa interpreted some of the songs that in Cuba caused him to be the victim of interrogations by the political police.
In the hall where the activity took place, an exhibition of Cuban graphic humor was offered in collaboration with the digital media El Toque.
