Fidel Castro, the last «catholic king»
CADAL held a virtual presentation about the book written by the Italian historian and academic CADAL's advisor, Loris Zanatta, in a dialogue with the historian and Academic Director of CADAL, Sabrina Ajmechet, and the Cuban historian and political activist Manuel Cuesta Morúa. In his book, recently published in Argentina, Zanatta explains how the Latin populism of anti-liberal roots, communism, and the Christian utopia merged in Castro's ideology, including how he marked the life of Cubans under a totalitarian state and a subsistence economy.
